Introductory Workshops
Thursdays
6:45-8:00 pm
An all day meditation retreat occurs once a month, (date posted on calendar). People are invited to take part in some or all of the day retreat, including optional:
--Meditation periods alternating with
10 minutes walking meditation
and a ten minute break.
--Listening to Dharma tapes
--Quiet reflection
in the garden or library
--Quiet meals, brown bag lunch
A full day of silence and reflection is also one of the ways to participate
in this retreat.
Longer retreats are offered at
the Abbeys in California
and England
Practical Instructions in Zen meditation & practice, these workshops include introductory Meditation instruction, along with classes such as
--Ethical Principles in Zen
--Ceremonial in Daily Life
--Harmonizing the Sacred & the Mundane
Out of respect and consideration for others, when attending classes or services at the Priory, please refrain from wearing shorts, jeans, leggings, T-shirts with slogans, flashy jewelry or highly-scented lotions and cosmetics.
